AutoCAD Mechanical System Requirements

• Intel® Pentium® III or AMD Athlon based PC with 500 MHz processor or better (later generation Intel and AMD processors recommended)
• Microsoft® Windows NT® 4 (SP6a or later), Windows 2000 (SP 1 or later), Windows® XP Professional, Windows XP Home
• 128MB RAM minimum (384MB or more highly recommended)
• 1024x768x16-bit high color display or greater
• Microsoft Internet Explorer 6 or later

Note: Less capable machines (such as that described in the minimum requirements category) can run AutoCAD Mechanical 2004 DX, but the results will be less than ideal. The use of additional memory and faster processors will directly improve performance and capacity and is highly recommended for design work entailing the use of AutoCAD Mechanical's design and engineering functionality such as 2D structure, associative 2D hide, standard parts, calculations, and machinery system generators (shaft, chain/belt drive systems, and so on).

In order for you to effectively use AutoCAD Mechanical 2004 DX, the requirements above are recommended.
