Personnel Bios
Dan Lorenz As the Technical Director, Mr. Lorenz is responsible for managing all technical activities at AMS. One such area of activity is in the focus and direction of industry technical expertise for the AMS team. This means keeping up-to-date on industry trends and design and development opportunities that the AMS team can use to increase their level of experience and bring cutting-edge solutions to AMS clients. In addition, Mr. Lorenz plays a major role in customer relations, managing most of the support and development projects for AMS clients. His experience of over ten (10) years in the Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) industry and over five (5) years of managing client accounts and projects has allowed him to develop excellent management and communication skills. These skills also make him an effective sales and demonstration specialist for AMS. Mr. Lorenz also continues to play a large role in supporting AMS clients in several areas from providing general AutoCAD support to developing advanced web-driven CADD solutions. In addition, he is an expert in consulting, implementing, and customizing CYCO Engineering Document Management (EDM) solutions for the many existing AMS EDM clients. His greatest technical strengths are his problem-solving methodologies and his creativity. Both lend themselves to Mr. Lorenz providing experienced, professional CADD Productivity consulting and solutions to AMS clients. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Lorenz was employed at Geraghty & Miller, Inc., an environmental engineering company with offices nationwide. There he was both CADD Manager and Network Administrator for the New Jersey office. He worked with several disciplines, developed CADD standards, and was considered the company CADD Specialist using AutoCAD R14 and Autodesk 3D Studio software.
Harry Morgan As the Sr. Mechanical CAD Sales Consultant, Mr. Morgan is responsible for working with clients to provide the right CAD software solutions to meet our mechanical engineering and manufacturing partners' specific industry needs. This means keeping up-to-date on industry trends, software advances and identifying and providing design solutions that best fulfill their business needs. Mr. Morgan comes from an engineering background and makes use of his vast experience in engineering, management and sales. It is this knowledge and experience that distinguishes Mr. Morgan and enables him to assess our client's specific needs in software, training and consulting. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Morgan was employed at CDM Technologies, where he served as a Sr. Technical Advisor in Manufacturing. Mr. Morgan holds an M.S. in Applied Mathematics as well as an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering and Applied Mechanics.
Ron Wilkins As an AMS Applications Engineer (AE), Mr. Wilkins is responsible for support and development of the AutoCAD environment for AMS clients. He provides both phone and on-site technical support of Autodesk products from AutoCAD to Autodesk Inventor. Additionally, he teaches Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) software training to customers as required for these products. As a Certified CYCO AutoManager Meridian Administrator and Developer, Mr. Wilkins also helps implement and customize the Engineering Document Management (EDM) software for AMS client projects. Mr. Wilkins excels in his dedication to quality and to the automation of tasks and processes for CADD. With his expert Visual Basic (VB) and Visual LISP skills, he is able to customize and develop AutoCAD to limitless possibilities. He possesses a mechanical background that helps him better identify with AMS mechanical clients and their needs. His experience with developing CADD Standards also allows him to integrate an efficient, more productive work environment for the CADD environment. All of these skills help Mr. Wilkins bring CADD Productivity solutions to AMS customers. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Wilkins was employed at Heat Pipe Technology, a manufacturer of commercial and residential dehumidification and air conditioning equipment. There he was both CADD Manager and Developer for the Gainesville, Florida office. He also developed a CAD/CAM program for the company that decreased design-to-production time by as much as 50%.
Andrew Madden As an AMS Applications Engineer (AE), Mr. Madden is responsible for support and development of the AutoCAD environment for AMS clients. He provides both phone and on-site technical support of Autodesk products from AutoCAD to Autodesk Architectural Desktop. Additionally, he teaches Computer-Aided Design & Drafting (CADD) software training to customers as required for these products. Mr. Madden excels in his dedication to quality and to the automation of tasks and processes for CADD. He possesses a civil/structural engineering background that helps him better identify with AMS architectural and civil/structural engineering clients and their needs. His experience with developing CADD Standards also allows him to integrate an efficient, more productive work environment for the CADD environment and his engineering background allows him to integrate engineering solutions into applications. All of these skills help Mr. Madden bring CADD Productivity solutions to AMS customers. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Madden was employed at Wiss, Janney, Elstner
Associates, an architectural and engineering firm specializing in restoration
and forensic engineering. There he was both CADD Manager and engineer
for the New York City office. He oversaw the daily CAD operations, developed
applications to automate field survey data recording and estimating tasks,
as well as working as a structural engineer . Mr. Madden holds a B.S.
in Civil & Environmental Engineering from Cornell University and has
more than 5 years of application development experience.
Matt King As a CAD Training Instructor, Mr. King brings a wealth of experience in teaching AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, 3D Studio Viz software and other related products. Mr. King 's education background includes a B.S. in Technology Education with a concentration in Manufacturing as well as an M.A. in Technology Education. The excellent instruction and hands-on training Matt provides has benefited numerous companies using Autodesk's AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop, and 3D Studio Viz software. Matt always receives high marks on his student course evaluation cards which is evidenced by our many repeat customers returning to our training center looking for the next level of Autodesk software instruction. Some of the companies that have utilized our training include; Johnson and Johnson, Marcal Paper Products, AT&T, Geraghty and Miller, KRAFT Foods, M&M Mars, A&P Stores, as well as various High School Educators throughout the Northern NJ area. Mr. King also serves as an Adjunct Professor at Berkeley College of Interior Design, Adjunct Professor at Fairleigh Dickinson University and Associate Professor at Bergen Community College since 1986.
Jeremy Owen As our Marketing and Web Consultant, Mr. Owen has been instrumental in improving the marketing efforts of Advanced Micro Systems. This effort began with a complete web site redesign and overhaul of our more than 300 web pages with fresh new design and content. In addition to web site maintenance, Mr. Owen oversees our HTML email newsletter and our direct mail and various other marketing campaigns. Much of this marketing effort is focused on promoting and managing our well respected and recognized CAD training program. Mr. Owen also serves Advanced Micro Systems as a web consultant and offers services in web design and web-related services. As an expert in search engine optimization and web design in HTML, JavaScript, graphics and ASP programming, Mr. Owen is able to combine his technical skills with our CAD expertise to assist us in offering a variety of CAD solutions via the web. Projects have included a web-based equipment tracking system as well as graphics design. Mr. Owen's search engine optimization (SEO) skills have resulted in significant and measurable increases in our web site traffic and sales. Prior to joining AMS Mr. Owen worked as a Site Development Manager overseeing the development and maintenance of the commercial web site for Net2Phone, Inc. Mr. Owen holds a B.S. as well as a Certification in Programming and has more than 7 years of web development experience.
Rocco Parisi As the Manufacturing Sales Consultant, Mr. Parisi is responsible for working with clients to provide the right CAD software solutions to meet our mechanical engineering and manufacturing partners' specific industry needs. This means keeping up-to-date on industry trends, software advances, and identifying and providing design solutions that best fulfill their business needs. Mr. Parisi has a background in AutoDesk sales and services, and makes use of his extensive experience in sales and marketing. It is this knowledge and expertise that distinguishes Mr. Parisi from others, and enables him to assess our client's specific needs in software, training and consulting. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Parisi was employed at CDM Technologies, where he served as a Sr. Technical Advisor in Manufacturing and Architecture. Mr. Parisi holds a B. S. in Business Administration with dual concentrations in Marketing and International Business.
Gary Glass As an AMS Senior Application Engineer (AE) Mr. Glass is responsible for the support, consulting, and development of CAD as well as Computer-Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) applications for AMS clients. He has extensive experience using programming languages such as: C#, C++, VB/VBA. With his programming expertise he is able to customize and automate AutoCAD, Architectural Desktop (ADT) and Autodesk Building Systems (ABS) using ObjectARX and ObjectOMF programming interfaces. Mr. Glass consults directly with AMS clients and provides application functionality that often exceeds customers’ expectations. His organizational management and problem-solving skills have led him to create powerful solutions for AMS clients that save them time and money. Prior to joining AMS, Mr. Glass was employed with TRIRIGA in Las Vegas Nevada, were he was a QA Engineer for the facility center. Mr. Glass also was a CAD Developer with TRIRIGA, were he utilized his multi-department expertise. He graduated with an Associates degree in Architectural Drafting In Occupational Studies, in Phoenix Arizona.
