Autodesk to discontinue support for 2000-based products
July 16, 2003
After January 15, 2004, AutoCAD 2000 and AutoCAD 2000-based products will
not be supported
and will no longer be upgradeable to a more current release.
This means that after January 15, 2004 Autodesk will no longer sell those
products. If you now own those products and want to get a more current
version after January 15, 2004, you will have to purchase a new full seat
at the new full seat price, and will not be able to purchase an upgrade
at the upgrade price (approximately 15-50% of the full seat price).
The Autodesk mechanical products that will not be supported or be upgradeable
after January 15, 2004 are: AutoCAD 2000, AutoCAD LT 2000, AutoCAD Mechanical
2000/AutoCAD Mechanical 2000 Power Pack, and Mechanical Desktop 4/Mechanical
Desktop 4 Power Pack.
The new Autodesk mechanical products include AutoCAD Mechanical 2004 Power
Pack for 2D mechanical design and Autodesk Inventor Series 7 (Includes
Autodesk Inventor 7, Mechanical Desktop 2004, AutoCAD Mechanical 2004
and AutoCAD 2004) for 2D and 3D mechanical design.
If you currently have AutoCAD 2000 or AutoCAD 2000-based mechanical products,
please contact AMS immediately. If you act now, you can save your company
a significant amount of money and make your company more productive in
the process.
Also, if you upgrade before July 25, you can take advantage of the Autodesk
0% financing promotion.
Now is the time to act! Contact us
to discuss the right solution for you, and how we can help you achieve
